We at Empowerment One are business leaders, media and communication professionals and entrepreneurs committed to empowering individuals and family members throughout our East
County communities who have English as a second and therefore, need support in assimilating and building healthy, successful and self-sufficient lives for themselves and their families.
We educate, build awareness and drive social advocacy on issues affecting the family and our communities, while offering educational programs, training workshops and strategic network connections to better empower non-English speaking Middle Eastern communities to gain access to information and education to become fully able to succeed in every aspect of life and society.
We help strengthen and empower our non-English speaking Chaldean, Middle Eastern and North African communities in East County to build successful and meaningful lives by bridging gaps to the access of education, information, knowledge, training and skills-building opportunities to gain a tangible social, cultural, and business integration within the broader society.
Our vision is to provide access to education and training through public-private partnerships with local, state and federal government agencies, as well as hands-on collaborations with community leaders, business leaders and like-minded charitable organizations. We strive to fully resolve the issues and challenges faced by the non-English speaking community members by building comprehensive educational and training programs to better help enlighten and empower individuals and families to become more proactive and self-sufficient in all aspects of daily life and within society, thereby elevating the quality of life for all.
Our commitment is to stand as One with our non-English speaking individuals and the members of our Chaldean, Middle Eastern and North African communities who have English as a second language, toward the aim of helping them reach full integration within society, empowered by attaining self-actualization and dignity, and therefore, a better life for all.
We aim to reach our goals by connecting pathways to vital resources, bridging knowledge gaps, building communications skills and cultural understanding that help bring behavioral changes aimed at remedying challenging issues such as child and domestic abuse, bullying in school, anxiety in hospitals, lack of access to government resources, lack of knowledge of or access to on-line education or navigating government websites, lack of knowledge on the rules of law enforcement, requirements of code and zoning, ordinances, issues with investments, real-estate laws, banking regulations and services, tax laws and information, immigration laws—all can be overcome; while obtaining residency, citizenship, establishing businesses, enhancing the entrepreneurial spirit and building the enculturation and full integration of the human person and family into society.
